Innovative Handicrafts-Intro



"Handicrafts" this very word is self explanatory which means crafts handmade. Handicrafts not only require human hands but also a lot of creativity. Handicrafts can be made out of any handy items be it used paper or an empty bottle. Handicrafts items differ country to country and this is because of the available resources in that particular region or country. The artisans, who are experts in making of the handicrafts, try to imbibe their tradition, culture and heritage in their craftwork. For example Tanjore Painting (Most commonly popular in South India) - This painting dates back to about 1600 AD, as many kings and their subjects encouraged arts during that period. Tanjore painting are drawn upon episodes of Hindu tradition and are richly painted on a wooden planks referred as "Palagai Padam". The same way it goes for every culture and countries. In some countries and culture, Handicrafts been taught has a ritual for generation after generations.

In today’s scenario, due to cross culture, media, and internet handicrafts are taught and learnt by many but this comes with a personal interest. Why do many prefer learning handicrafts? This might be for various reasons such as personal interest, an urge to explore and learn things, creativity, time pass and in some cases Psychologist/Psychiatrist encourage their patients to learn craftwork in order to relieve the patients from depression or to improve their concentration power. So here it goes, handicrafts have lot of benefits to it. An innovative handicraft purely depends on a person’s creativity and skills and this can be gained in a period of time
